We only know what you choose to track
Ciak doesn't read what you're playing or connect to your streaming accounts. It uses what you tell it and always explains why it recommends a title.
Your rating stays private
It helps improve your recommendations and nobody else sees it until you choose to share it. Before you publish a take, you'll always know who can read it.
We don't sell your data
Your viewing history is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising profiles. Our business is helping you find something to watch.
You can delete everything
It takes two taps from your profile. Your account and history are deleted within 30 days, including backups.

What people ask us.
How long before it's useful?
Two minutes: choose the services you use and give twelve titles a ▲ or ▼. Your first recommendation is already tuned to your taste, with nothing to import.
When does it ship?
A closed TestFlight beta comes first, followed by the App Store release. Leave your email and you'll receive an invite in signup order.
What does it cost?
Free during the beta. If a subscription comes later, we'll say so beforehand.
Do I connect Netflix or Disney+?
No. Just choose the services you use and Ciak will limit recommendations to titles available there.
What if we're not on the same couch?
You can start an evening from different places. When someone makes a choice, everyone else's screen updates automatically. Anyone without an account can join as a guest, share their taste without signing up and let the temporary profile expire on its own.
Can I add friends?
Yes, with a code. You can compare your taste with each friend's, share only the ratings you choose and start an evening together.
Do I get notifications?
Only for a friend request, its acceptance, an evening invite or a linked code. You can turn off each type of notification separately.
Where are the stars?
You don't need five stars to teach Ciak your taste. A ▲ or ▼ — plus a reason if you want — means less to fill in and more precise recommendations.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. iPhone first, done properly.
